Student Terms and Conditions
1. If your instructor cannot attend a scheduled lesson for any reason, Merkan School of Motoring (MSM) will provide a substitute instructor upon request.
2. In the event of a mechanical issue or breakdown involving a learner vehicle, MSM reserves the right to reschedule the affected lesson at a mutually convenient time.
3. If a student needs to cancel a lesson, a minimum of 24 hours' notice must be given directly to the instructor. Failure to do so will result in the full lesson fee, as agreed with the instructor or our office, being charged.
4. All students must bring their valid TRNC provisional driving licence (or equivalent) to each lesson. It is a legal requirement to inform the instructor before the first lesson if you are currently serving a driving ban.
5. All MSM instructors are self-employed. Therefore, MSM accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from the actions of individual instructors.
6. If payments are made directly to the instructor rather than to the MSM office, MSM will not be responsible for any refunds.
7. All pre-paid lessons must be used within 6 months from the date of purchase. Special offers for students aged 18–19 are valid for one year.
8. Refunds for bookings requested after the 7-day cooling-off period will be subject to a 2750 TL administration fee plus other expencess.
9. For intensive courses, 12,750 TL is non-refundable due to test and administrative costs, even if a refund is requested partway through the course.
10. Early test bookings are subject to a non-refundable 6700 TL administration fee, in addition to any government fees already paid.
11.MSM is only responsible for test bookings made by the MSM office. The school is not responsible for bookings made by individual instructors.
12. On test days, short trousers and slippers are not permitted.
13. Students are responsible for bringing all original documents to every test appointment, including a valid passport, ID, and any required immigration documents.
14. Terms and conditions for Motorcycle CBT must be read and accepted on-site at the CBT testing facility
